Appearance
Independent Auditor's Report (Desktop)
What it is: The section of the AFS that contains the formal audit opinion, with tools to select the correct opinion type, populate the auditor's details, and manage page breaks for a polished final document.
What it's for
The Independent Auditor's Report must reflect the correct audit opinion (unmodified, qualified, adverse, or disclaimer) and include the auditor's firm details. Draftworx Desktop provides a structured template so that only the relevant opinion is visible, and the auditor's information can be applied consistently across clients via the Practice Details feature. Page break management ensures the Index shows accurate page numbers when a signed PDF version of the report is substituted.
How to do it
Prepare the report
- Open the relevant opinion on the Independent Auditor's Report sheet — ensure only one opinion is open at a time (close all others).
- To populate the auditor's firm name, registration number, and other practice details, use Apply Additional Practice Details (see the separate guide on that topic).
Replace with a signed PDF and fix page numbering
- If substituting a signed PDF audit report for the Draftworx template, page breaks must be added so the Index reflects the correct page range.
- Expand the sections at the bottom of the report and add page breaks as needed.
- Expand additional sub-groupings to insert further page breaks for multi-page reports.
